GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is #1 moneymaker of 2014

According to comicbook.com, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY has become the highest grossing comic book movie at the worldwide box office this year, beating out X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER.

How’s that for long movie titles? 

With DC taking a lengthy break from live-action movies between MAN OF STEEL (2013) and DAWN OF JUSTICE (2016), Marvel is dominating the box office.

GUARDIANS currently has over $752 million, beating out X-MEN, and is sitting in third place overall under TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION (ugh!) and MALEFICENT (barf).

But GUARDIANS still has a chance of making it to second place. 

I loved GUARDIANS and I will definitely be reviewing it, but I’m going to try and wait ‘til December 9 when it’s released on DVD.
